I was heavily involved in the team who delivered a website refresh for interior design company, Interhouse Design.

Interhouse knew their current site was beginning to look outdated in terms of design with having drop shadows and not making full use of the site width. I was tasked with giving their site a design refresh and making it more up-to-date. One of the main aspects was to make more use of the images, having them full screen and much larger than they currently were on the site. The site also needed to be fully responsive and use WordPress allowing them to be able to update the content and add new homes/rooms rather than the more complex Ruby.

From starting with the site map it allowed me to understand how many page templates were needed when it came to the designs. Starting off with wireframing allowed me to get the layout signed off from the client without any distractions of branding or imagery. This was an important stage as using my knowledge of UX design I applied this to the wireframes.

From these I was able to apply the brand and images to the create the designs.

The site is fully responsive which is especially important in this day and age. Ensuring the images were the largest they could be on all devices was a key aspect to consider. They were designed to be a modular section so there is 3 different layouts that can be chosen but they all interlock with each other to give each portfolio item page a slightly different layout.

Due to WordPress being new to the client, I created a simple training guide to go alongside the in person training session that was provided.
